Powershell email script use in NNMi 10.20

Jump to solution

Hi Folks

Is it possible to use a PowerShell email script for Incident notificaiton in NNMi 10.20? What are the NNMi variables that I need to pass to the script (i.e. To, From, Subj, Body, etc)?

Thanks

Hi labuss,

The following KM includes a script you may use as reference to configure your own:

I hope this helps!

Thank you. The article you specified is perfect.

One other question along those lines. Are there any HP approved SMS or pager apps/scripts that can be activated in a similar fashion as sending an email upon an NNMi detected incident?

Thanks

Hello LB,

you can integrate solutions like Derdack or xMatters for a powerful alerting using different media types.

In the past we used sendXMS from a German company for a "simple" SMS alerting. The "logic" was implemented in a script.

HTH and kind regards

Hi Labuss,

Is there anything else we can do for you on this discussion thread or can it be closed now?
If it can be closed, would you mind marking the more appropriate answer as the Accepted Solution so that our community members could directly access the solution when searching through the forum?
If you don't mark any answer yourself, I may go ahead and mark the one pointing out the KM document as the Accepted Solution later today, since you mentioned it was perfect.

All the best

Scripts are in place, just have to round up some test hardware to test them in an "actually" failure situation.

Thanks for your help.
