Traffic data between two network devices

NNM 10.2x

We have 1 router and 1 switch and interface 1 in router is connected to interface 2 to switch.

I see this link is getting discovered as part of Layer 2 connection.

However does NNM collect performance or traffic data which is passing through the link.

If yes which report can we view to see the traffic data or volume over the link.

If no, can we use custom poller or any other mechanism to collect this data.

Traffic provides you with the interface traffic reports to view and analyze the network traffic data in your environment. These are the reports you can use:
