While collecting the trap data from NNMi we are getting the following error

Hello Team,
when i run this command to collect the Trap during that time, we are getting the following error.
can you please suggest
this the the example:-
ex:-2018-06-01T00:00:00+05:30 -to 2018:06:04T23:59:59+05:30

Failed to parse date 2018:06:04T23:59:59+07:00: Unrecognized ISO date format for 2018:06:04T23:59:59+07:00. The format supported is yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss[Z,-hh:mm,+hh:mm]. For example, 2007-11-05T08:15:30-05:00

please give one example for ISO, how it will support in NNMi.
Thanks

Re: While collecting the trap data from NNMi we are getting the following error

Hi, Kush
date delimiter ";"  will not work. It's time delimiter.  Samples of ISO timestamps are available in NNMo reference pages  or at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601
You could try e.g. e.g.
[root@nilevm1 ~]# nnmtrapdump.ovpl -from 2018-06-05T08:00:00  -to 2018-06-05T09:01:00 -short
Trap vmwCimOmHeartbeat (.1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.90.0.401) at June 5, 2018 8:01:04 AM CEST from nile.dnk.hp.com
Trap vmwCimOmHeartbeat (.1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.90.0.401) at June 5, 2018 8:01:22 AM CEST from eufrat.dnk.hp.com
or including  timezone:
[root@nilevm1 ~]# nnmtrapdump.ovpl -from 2018-06-05T08:00:00+02:00  -to 2018-06-05T09:01:00+02:00 -short
Trap vmwCimOmHeartbeat (.1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.90.0.401) at June 5, 2018 8:01:04 AM CEST from nile.dnk.hp.com
Trap vmwCimOmHeartbeat (.1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.90.0.401) at June 5, 2018 8:01:22 AM CEST from eufrat.dnk.hp.com

Re: While collecting the trap data from NNMi we are getting the following error

Hi,

make "-from" time the same as "-to" . Replace "-" to  ":" in  date  section as suggested below in the comamnd output "For example, 2007-11-05T08:15:30-05:00"

Hello Dr,

Re: While collecting the trap data from NNMi we are getting the following error

Hi, kush

it looks like corrupted SNMP trap is received  or something is wrong in NNMi frontend  traps storage.
You can try to stop NNMi and trap receiver and  delete all files in  /var/opt/OV/shared/nnm/databases/traps/. Note: you will lost accmulated traps in the storage. It will not impact NNMi postgres database.
my 2 cents,
Gedas

Re: While collecting the trap data from NNMi we are getting the following error

I agree with Gedas.  This looks like the traplog# file is corrupted in the /var/opt/OV/shared/nnm/databases/traps directory.  If there is more than one file here then you could try removing them one at a time to determine which one is at fault.  Make sure you renumber them to keep the sequence.   You will want to delete the file in question because any new traps arriving are simply appended to the current file and any internal corruption in it will cause the latter part of the file to not be processed.  As Gedas points out, this will mean you will lose the stored traps in the file, but those incidents in the postgres DB will remain.   If its really important to not lose the traps in the file then I have in the past managed to remove the partial record and recover the contents of the file.  If this is necessary then please open a support case and we can look into it.

  All the best
