Hi Experts,
I am configuring email & Alert for the Ac's(Air conditioner) of data center , when their Temperature exceededs from threshold value(25).
I follow the procedure given below but still not geting any email or alert .
Anyone please resolve it.
Thanks in advance
1 paste BLAT exe in the folder C:\\WINDOWS
2 Enable smtp in your server
3 run the command from your command prompt
blat -install mail server's address sender's mail address
4 make any file xyz.txt in the c: drive
5 give the following command in the command prompt
blat c:\xyz.txt -to mail id
6 configure the following command in the command for automatic action
tab of Events window
blat c:\\xyz.txt -to mail id
Step 7 In the C:\Program Files\HP OpenView\conf\trustedCmds.conf add a blank
ASCII file named ALLOW_ALL
Step 8 In the same trustedCmds.conf folder there is a file named NNM.
Following changes needed to be made in NNM file
snmpnotify=$OV_BIN/snmpnotify
ovIfIndexRemap.ovpl=$OV_BIN/ovIfIndexRemap.ovpl
blat=c:\\windows\\blat.exe
Step 9
BLAT Implementation
Configure the following in the automatic action tab of event configuration in NNM
blat c:\\t.txt -body "IF $7 Up $12 Capabilities: $13 Root Cause: $14 $15" -subject "node up" -to email Id
Best Regards
Nikhil

Hi ,
Are you able to ping your mail server?
in the below command "mail server's address "
blat -install mail server's address sender's mail address
and could you tell me the event name in which you are putting the step 9
Thanks,
Abby

Hi,
did you tried your command :
"blat c:\\t.txt -body "IF $7 Up $12 Capabilities: $13 Root Cause: $14 $15" -subject "node up" -to email Id"
in a dos box ?
If not you should first try this test, even with a command more simple.
best regards.

Dear Nikhil,
First check your mail server connectivity.
Send some mails through command prompt and check whether blat is working or not.
then check through NNM.
Cheers..!
