migrating OVO templates/conditions to NNMi
Hi, We are going to migrate our OVO server's templates/conditions to NNMi 9.2x servers. Just want to ask if there is any existing tools (on NNMi?) to do it? Thanks for the advice first ...
Regards,

Hi,
NNMi is used to manage network device.
OVO is used to manage computer, server and database.
There is no tool to migrate OVO templates/conditions to NNMi 9.2x.
But , in the opposited direction, we have tool to export NNMi management event and SNMP trap configurations to HP OVO policies/templates/conditions. Thus OVO can get the incident forwarded by NNMi.
This tool is called nnmopcexport.ovpl.
For example, on NNMi server, generate the SNMP trap policy file by entering the following command:
nnmopcexport.ovpl -u <username> -p <password> \
-template "NNMi Management Events" -application "NNMi" \
-file NNMi_policy.dat
This command will generate file of NNMi_policy.dat.
Transfer the NNMi_policy.dat file from the NNMi management server to the HPOM management server.
Import the NNMi_policy.dat file into HPOM.
— HPOM for Windows: Use the ImportPolicies command.
— HPOM for UNIX or HPOM for Linux version 9.x: Use the opcpolicy command.
— HPOM for UNIX version 8.x: Use the opctempl command.
Then you can export NNMi management event and SNMP trap configurations to HP OVO policies/templates/conditions.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Another advice is: perhaps it may need to check with OVO support as well on this.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks, Clen. We are decommissioning OVO and will upgrade our NNM7.5x to NNMi 9.2x, then feed their alarms to TeMIP. That's why I would like to know if any tools to help migrating OVO templates/conditions to NNMi. As per your reply, there is no easy way to do it then. Thanks a lot ...
