system location & system contact fields inside Inventory>Nodes

Hi Team,

Could you please guide for the attached screen shot of NNM Setup.

I wanted to know how to modify or update the fields ear marked in green colored box in the attached screenshot

1. System Location. - is this field to be updated in the respective node itself or its a field in NNM which we can manually updated.
- is this field having some relation with the Node Groups, I had updated the Node groups applicable for customer environment, but then System location is causing some confusion.

2. System Contact - Please tell how to update this field as well. as of now its showing us "CMC" for most of the nodes. we need to change it to "XYZ" or may be ABC etc.

Thanks & Regards

Re: system location & system contact fields inside Inventory>Nodes

Hi,
all these field values are coming from managed nodes SNMP attributes. Nothing to do with NNMi configuration.
Ask network devices administrators to change it on nodes - and NNMi will discover new values.

Gedas

Re: system location & system contact fields inside Inventory>Nodes

Hello,

NNMi dynamically Polls System Location and Contact details for SNMP agent of Manged Node. These are the information for operator to identify and contact the required SPOC in case of need.

These values  and information are configured by Network Admin for each device.
