Micro Focus SMT 1.0 is almost there ...

Target Audience : Users of Subscription Management Tool  (to mirror update repositories from NCC)

SMT has been a constant topic of discussion ever since the EOL of SLES 11 and SMT 11 early this year.  Since SMT11 was the only version that could talk to NCC, and it had to be run on a dated platform or on OES2015 SP1, thus far.

But as promised, we are now ready with a version of SMT - Micro Focus SMT 1.0, which can now run on SLES12 SP4 to start with and can connect to NCC.  Work to add additional platform support is underway (SLES12 SP4 & SLES15 SP1) and we will be keeping it current and supporting the latest versions of SLES and OES going forward.

Internal testing has been done against many products that publish their updates on NCC and so far everything is looking good.
