Such a client does not exist. Could you please verify the client
version you are using?
Also, could you please report what Windows version you are trying to
install this client on. Please include the service pack level for your
Windows version.

Re: 0x000000002 error

Well, I'm sorry, but to my best knowledge there is not yet any support
pack for the 4.91 client. So either you are using a 4.90 client with a
support pack, or a plain 4.91 client.

Re: 0x000000002 error

Marcel, the file name is clnt491e.exe. Isn't it v4.91 SP1e?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Marty.

Hmm. What in the world makes you think it's SP1 based on that name? This
is client 4.91, english. No service pack whatsoever.

Re: 0x000000002 error

OK, now, that we established the client version, can we give some insight on the error and how to solve it? 🙂
Thanks.

Re: 0x000000002 error

Marty,

Windows Event logs showing anything unusual?

Any service or driver-based software like firewall, VPN, remote management
or antivirus installed and running?

Can you verify that the install files are not corrupt and Windows is in good
shape?
Assuming its not any kind of malware (virus, spyware or otherwise), there
may be something funky with Windows networking on that box. You may want to
try removing and re-installing as many components of networking as you can.

I've used these free utilities in the past to help troubleshoot and they can
tell you wonders about what is really going with Windows...
