4.91 SP2 client with patch Kit "B" connection problems

I'm working on a problem where it seems that the 4.91 SP2 client has
caused intermittant problems connecting to the network and also problems
with clients losing connections from the network. The server is running
6.5 SP2. The Patch Kit "B" client upgrade has been applied to a number
of the upgraded workstations and it really doesn't seem to be making any

The client upgrade was partially rolled out where problems started to
show up so that rollout was stopped. None (don't think anyway) of the
unupgraded clients are having these connection problems. and some of the
upgraded clients are not having problems either.

We're working at doing some client version rollbacks but wanted to see
what similar issues others are having...seems like a lot of issues with
4.91 SP2 but nothing posted quite matches.
