4.91 sp5 to 4.91 sp5 ir1

I have set up the acu and unattend file and pushed out the registry keys to enable my netware clients update agent on thier clients.

every time i run the update client it tells me there is a update available and i hit yes and it seems to copy it to C:\doc & settings\%user%\blah blah.........
and then errors out with a windows faulting app.

in my unattend file i have loacl install turned off shouldn't it run from the server.

my 4.91 sp2 clients process just fine it seems to only be 4.91 sp5 crashing

Re: 4.91 sp5 to 4.91 sp5 ir1

I think my issue lives in my setupsp but i don't know where:
its like its ignoring my acu.ini for a sp upgrade. is there a way i can make it reinstall the whole client?
if i specify a local install path in my acu it copies the files there but thats it. if i say no to the local install path it puts them in the documents and settings user then errors out. realy need to get these pushed out.

Re: 4.91 sp5 to 4.91 sp5 ir1

So what i have found is that I wasn't thinking about my unattend.txt in the right way I kept thinking that acu wasn't reading my acu.ini file correctly but in reality it was working as designed. acu ignores all of your aother acu settings as soon as you tell it to look at the unattend.txt file i reopened my unattend file with niciman and forgot that i had set the initail screen and the prompt for reboot in there too. once i fixed that my errors went away and it installed properly for non local admins thru the acu options in the netware client which is alot cleaner and smoother than the zen package i ut together. the rest of the settings in the acu file are for if you don't use an unattend file and accept the defaults then you would surpress login dialog and all that there. Hope this helps peole in the same situation.
