Abend during FTP-Download

Hi!

During an FTP-download (actualizing
MCAfee-Antivirus-Dat-Files) the NW6-SP5-Server abends
(around 10 minutes after download-start). I had this twice
during the last 3 days. Since I use the same NWFTPGET-Tool
(from Novell Cool Tools) on several sites and this only
happened on this specific server it would be great if
someone could have a look at the attached abend-log.

The tool is started with the following line by cron.nlm:

"java -classpath
SYS:\NWFTPCLU\ftp.jar;SYS:\NWFTPCLU\com.xaro.NWFTPCLU.jar
NWFTPGET ftp.nai.com anonymous update@kunze-stade.de
/CommonUpdater/* /netshld/update/ftp/ binary passive"

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely

Karl

Re: Abend during FTP-Download

Hi,

The stack trace is not very definitive in this case, but since its blowing up in TCPIP someplace, I'd start with TCP610l ( or whatever is the latest TCPIP at the time you do it ) and wsock6q to get winsock up to patch. It looks like your Java stuff it pretty much up to patch. As to why this server has a problem and the others do not: check the versions of java, jsock, winsock, and tcpip and see if there is any common denominator. That's my best guess...
