Accessing CIFS with LanManager

Hi,

simple question: Can i mount CIFS shares on a NW6SP4 server cia a DOS
LanManager client?

Background:
Have a robot here that collects informations about his work on a DOS
box. Don´t ask me why they don´t use linux. The Novell disc for DOS
can´t handle the Intel card inside of this box. So, we get them a LM
disc to copy the files to the server. They can mount with this disc all
shares from the windows boxes, but if they try to access the NW server
the LM tells you that he can´t find the remote station. 😞 The server
is in the LMHOSTS and so on, but it still don´t work. I can access the
NW CIFS shares with my test windows system (without novell client).

advance thanks

Bye
Michael

Re: Accessing CIFS with LanManager

Possibly with NW6.5, there is TID10079796 that gives some details, but
I don't if the fix ever did actually appear.

Cheers Dave
