Accessing server using UNC

Hi
Is there any way to access novell servers using an unc path like you
can in Windows? \\server\sys?

It's a little annoying to map a drive every time 🙂

If the server is OES, you can access that way assuming you have the Novell
client on your machine. You would access the server just as you would a
NetWare server.

If the server is just plain SLES, if you create a Samba share you can
access the share that way. In that case the server would appear just as
another Windows server on your network.

Re: Accessing server using UNC

I'm trying to access a OES NW 6.5 server.
Typing in //servername/vol1 or \\servername\vol1 doesn't work for me,
it converts the path to file:///
