Advice on syncing dirs

I have a 5.1 and a 6.5 server. All of my clients are XP. They all
login and have a "home" directory that is mapped to their H: drive. I
want to be able to sync that dir with a folder on their computer.
Access offsite would be a nice feature to have too. What should I use
to accomplish this? I do have a spare server that I can install SUSE
Enterprise server on. I just do not understand the difference between
ifolder 2.1 and ifolder 3 and netstorage.

Re: Advice on syncing dirs

Hi Justin,

I have a similar problem and here is my setup/solution:

Setup

Main office user's who map their Home to H: but also want offsite access (via iFolder 3.2 webaccess).
Laptop user's who just have an iFolder but want their data backed up to the server.

Solution

1.Create an iFolder for all users.
2.Create one master ifolder user that has access to all ifolders.
3.Use the Sync software Vice Versa 2 to synchronize between the ifolders and home directories for the Main office users. I am just running this software on a Windows XP Pro machine with mapped drives to the Home directories via Netware CIFS.

Hope this helps.

Steve.
