Any way to check login history for users?

I know how to determine when the last time a user logged in was. Is
there, by chance, a way to get a history of log-on log-off activity so
that I could see anything other than the last one?

Thanks!

Yes, provided you install/enable auditing. But not after the fact.

Re: Any way to check login history for users?

There is the "Login Time" and "Last Login Timne" attribute of user objects.

This will yield the past two login times. ( Current and previous.)
Any more than that and you will need Auditing.

Re: Any way to check login history for users?

What kind of a strain does auditing put on the system? Is it likely to
cause me all kinds of problems to enable it?

Also, is there anywhere that I can read more about enabling auditing so
that I do it properly? Can anyone suggest any reference material?

Thanks!

It depends. Since you are on 6.0, then you might look at AuditLogin from
Condrey Consulting

For 6.5, see the manuals at www.novell.com/docmentation.
