Authentication failed (-25) Errors

This is a weird problem and I'm hoping someone can help me out. For the past few months I've been testing iFolder 2.1 and everything seems to be working fine. Now that I've begun to roll it out to the clients, everyone except the test users are getting Authentication failed (-25) Errors.

Has anyone else seen this?

An LDAP trace would help:

IFolder simple troubleshooting steps:

1. iFolder 2.x needs eDirectory 8.6.2 or better for LDAP. It will not
work with NW 5.1 DS 8.82 for example.
2. Check that the admin name in the iFolder server config file is
correct
3. Use the clear-text LDAP (389) port for troubleshooting
(SSL/TLS tab, turn off "require TLS", see below)
4. Have iFolder log its screen to a file (below)
5. Turn on LDAP tracing on the LDAP Server Object
(Screen options tab, check at least "connection" and "response")
6. LOAD DSTRACE. Turn off everything and turn on LDAP, then try to log
in.
7. Does it work if you bypass the proxy in your browser?

Does the new iFolder help?
http://support.novell.com/servlet/filedownload/uns/pub/ifolder213.exe/
(This is for 6.0. For 6.5, use SP2)

Note on 4:
Change startifolder.ncf to read:
LOAD ADDRESS SPACE = IFOLDER APACHE -s -f
SYS:APACHE\IFOLDER\SERVER\HTTPD.CONF
(all on one line)

Note on 3:
1. LDAP Server Object, SSL/TLS Config Page
Untick "Require TLS for All Operations"
2. LDAP Group Object
Untick "Require TLS for simple binds with password"

Note on 6:
LOAD DSTRACE
DSTRACE -ALL
DSTRACE +LDAP
DSTRACE SCREEN ON
DSTRACE FILE On

The trace file is called DSTRACE.LOG and is in sys:system

Re: Authentication failed (-25) Errors

Thanks for the heal but I've found the problem, now I just need a solution. The problem is described in TID10093369, however, this is not an upgraded system, this was a new system with Netware 6.5 installed on it.

Ah, remember that one. Have you tried the latest version of iFolder?

Re: Authentication failed (-25) Errors

I'm in the process of applying nwlib6a.exe and ap2052.exe first. If this
doesn't work, I'll apply the latest version of iFolder.

Re: Authentication failed (-25) Errors

Just update nwlib6a.exe and ap2052.exe without any luck. I'm still having
the same problem with some users not being able to sync their files.

I only have 3 users myself and two others. My account works fine. It was
created while iFolder was configured to point to the sys: volume. Once my
account was create, I configured iFolder to point to a clustered volume.

As a test for iFolder, I can re-configure it to point to the sys: volume and
create new accounts without any problems. Once I point the configuration
file back to the shared cluster and copy the users files, the snyc problems
reoccur.

M IFO* on the server console. Latest is 2.13, included in 6.5 SP2 and a
separate download for 6.0
