CIFS and Cluster-Ressources

hi all
we use cifs on a 6.5sp2-cluster. setup the cluster in a active/active
state.
in the network-environment i can see the server and the cluster-ressources
(virtual server).the access on the server and the volumes under the server
works fine, but when i try to access the virtual server, i get the error-
message: access denied, please contact....
in c1 i checked the proberties of the virtual servers, include the ip-
addresses, but cant find a misconfig.
any ideas to help me?

thanks in advanced !

regards david

Re: CIFS and Cluster-Ressources

leave the include IP addresses blank (which means it will listen on all bound addresses). Do you have the Virtual server configured identically to the physical servers (Local/domain, wins, leave the Shares blank--at least for testing, the server names will be different).

Have you tried from a NON-Novell workstation, using START, RUN, \\x.x.x.x\clustervol (where x.x.x.x is the SECONDARY IP --ie clustered ip/resource, and where clustervol is the name of the clustered volume/resource).
