Can you install 6.5 using a USB keyboard..

I just got a new sever that has only USB ports for the mouse & Keyboard.

When trying to install NW6.5 I can't get beyond the end of copying files to
NWSERVER on "C". It asks for a response but no longer sees the keyboard.

Any ideas on how this can be done????

I don't recall any problems on a blade server, but I haven't tried it
recently. There are some other reports in forum archives of success with
USB keyboards, IIRC.

Can you break into the debugger? If so, that would suggest it wasn't a
keyboard problem, but an app getting lost.

Thanks Joe,

We found that the front USB ports were the issue.
We switched to the back ports and it went thru.... sort of.

I'm having issues getting drivers for the Dell Perc5i card.(serial SCSI)
Dell says they don't support Netware 6.5 so they don't have drivers, try
LSI who makes the card. LSI HAS drivers for SUSE linux, but not Netware 6.5

Any ideas on what I might be able to do????

interesting - if this is the 19xx series servers, SP5 has the mega_sas
driver that works just peachy - call your TAM and raise cain, Dell
supports 6.5 just fine

We have installed few Dell 2900 servers with SP5 overlay media, works
ok.
No OpenManage agents though.

Thanks for the info Joe....
I was using an older overlay and it didn't have the driver needed.
The SP5 overlay looks like it's going to work....
The server is a 2950 with a MD1000 Serial attached SCSI array attached.
If anything else crops up I'll post new thread.
Thanks again,
