Client Auditing

We are preparing to upgrade eDir and I am needing to find the workstations that are still running client versions prior to SP5.

Is there a fast and easy way to run an audit and garner the info I need so that I don't have to visit each machine individually? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

You can have the login script push the IP and REQUESTER_VERSION into a
file.

Novell has a new enhancement request system,
or what is now known as the requirement portal.
If customers would like to give input in the upcoming
releases of Novell products then they should go to

Re: Collect Client Versions spread out on your LAN [file] [1/2]

Hi.

- Drop NWClientVersion.EXE to some folder everyone has read access to.
- create an empty NWClientVersion.INI file, in the same folder.
- grant write access to that INI for [Root].
- include that EXE to your login script.

Written using autoit 3.3.6.1, source included, so if you want other information to
be included, you can modify it to meet your needs.

[file] just the sources, as the full zip was damaged again.

Hi,

another, final try.

To compile it yourself, visit

http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/downloads.shtml

get autoit v3.3.6.1 (or later) and the autoit customized scite editor, install both.

copy "nwusername.au3" to "%programfiles%\autoit3\include\"

compile nwclientversion.au3, that's it ... 🙂
