Client Login Problem

I'm rebuilding a failed Novell 4.10 server. All patches applied. IPX only. I
can login to the server using the 98 & XP Windows clients but can not login
from XP or 98 using the latest Novell client.
Any idea what's going on?
TIA
Bill

Re: Client Login Problem

Bill, I go with older clients in a 4.10 environment -- in particular
4.83 SP2 or SP3 for Win2k or XP workstations:

Regarding the 4.83 client. The full 4.83SP2 client can be downloaded
from:

http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/1764.html

After that, you can download and deploy the SP3 update:

After that, you may want to download and deploy the post SP3 update:

http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/2969354.htm

The other considerations -- install the client using the custom
install, client only, IPX only and match the frame type you whatever
you are using on the 4.10 server (802.2 probably).

Since it is a new install on the server - you might make sure your
network configuration (load and bind) are done properly there.
