Client compatability with eDir 8.8.1

I am preparing to upgrade all our servers to eDirectory 8.8.1. Currently
most of our workstations are on the Novell Client 4.91 sp1. We are in the
beginning phases of rolling out sp3, but this will take some time as this
is a college campus.

I was reviewing the approved products TID for eDirectory 8.8.1 and it
mentions the sp2 client. Will the sp1 client function alright with eDir
8.8.1?

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Client compatability with eDir 8.8.1

It should.
It was just never tested.

I have never seen any post an issue.
It is quite common to use far older clients.

Issues may arise with things such as Universal Password, etc... which may
use newer features in the client but without that fancy stuff you should be
fine.
