DHCPD wont start

We got some problem that happened just now.
dhcpd wont start at all.

a rcnovell-dhcpd restart shows..

It contacts it self for ldap configuration.
As of untill today.. it worked flawlessly.
Only thing that has changed is that php has been installed, and server restarted.

For whatever reason it thinks that the DHCP address that it's supposed to bind to is already in use.

I don't know of PHP installs a bootp server (would seem odd if it did), but I guess if HP JetAdmin can then I'm sure other software can as well.

Obviously the server itself has an IP, but it thinks there's another DHCP or BOOTP server using that IP and listening on whatever it is that DHCP uses.

What config does your /etc/dhcpd.conf contain?

(you can change any of the information so that you don't expose your IP's/ and things to the rest of the world)

I guess check to make sure it isn't running.
rcnovell-dhcpd status

then check the ports on your box to see what program has udp 67 open.

netstat -lnpu | grep :67
