DLU Not Working

We have been in the process of upgrading our servers to 6.5, setting up
LDAP Contextless login, which appears to be working flawlessly. However,
during this process our older DLU now does not appear to work. What we
have read from the support forums, it has to do with NMAS but we can't
figure out exactly what.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DLU Not Working

DLU is a ZENWorks Desktop Management functionality. I don't know why you
think this is related to NMAS. What ZENworks version are you using?

Re: DLU Not Working

Yes, I am aware the DLU is a Zenworks product. However, in my reading
yesterday at the support site, when I searched DLU not working it refers
to NMAS when it is installed the DLU breaks.

Anyway, we have ZEN 3.2 I believe, it is yet another area we are grossly
behind in upgrading. Maybe we should look at upgrading this as well?

Thank you in advance.

There is no fundamental incompatibility between NMAS and DLU. I'm using
NMAS and DLU here and it works fine. There have been specific
interoperability problems in the past with certain versions and ZENworks
and/or certain versions of NMAS or in certain particular scenarios.

Do you have a ZENworks agent installed on your workstation at all? The
ZENworks 3.2 client components had always be included with the Novell
clients, but the latest cleint versions no longer include any ZENworks
client components.

All in all you problem description is far to vague to be of any use for
debugging. Thefroe, if you want to get real help on the issue, you should
give a clear description of your environment (software versions of all
components used) as well as a clear error description ("does not work" is
a useless error description) with the exact symptoms on how things behave
and what you would have expected as behaviour instead.

Anyway, I sill believe your question would be more on topic in one of the
ZENworks forums.
