Dynamic DNS Errors

I keep seeing the following error messages coming up on my DNS screen
since enabling dynamic DNS.

client xx.xx.xx.xx update xx.xx.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN denied

Some of the addresses that give the above do still register though?
One thing it says when creating the in addr arpa is that you should
create a ptr record for the dns server but the dns I dont currently
have any dns servers that are in the range.
eg

ive created a 175.10 in .........
But the authoritive server doesnt have an ip address that starts with
10.175.

Any ideas how to stop these errors appearing??

Re: Dynamic DNS Errors

OK, it looks like the client machine is trying to update its own DNS
record -- this is default behavior for Win2000 and XP (and probably
Vista) -- but your server is not permitting it. You can change this by
editing the Allow Update information on the Control Lists tab for the
zone in question, presuming of course that you want the client machines
to be allowed to update their own records.

Re: Dynamic DNS Errors

Excellent that seems to have done the trick.
