EVMS wont load

Any input would be most helpfull,

After running the OES sp2 via rug my NSS volume will not mount. All was
well before the SP2 and the configuration "seems" to be in order. However
when at boot the boot.evms init script runs the error -

Starting EVMSEngine: The plug-in Linux-HA in module /lib/evms/2.3.3/hs-
1.0.7.so failed to load. The plugin's setup_evms_plugin() function failed
with error code 19: No such device.

this seems to be the root of the issue as the log fills with many lines
complaining after this....

Thanks in advance for help to resolve this.

Re: EVMS wont load

Probably badly upgraded to SP2
use the prepatch script to really the service pack
look in the doc for how todo this

also make sure after the upgrade in red-carpet (gui) all "patches" are
applided, and no updates should be available

EVMS wont load

JEA,

Unfortunately, it seems you are not alone !

I upgraded our OES for Linux to SP2 and, yes, you guessed it, I too have
the same problem that you have - now my NSS DATA volume will not mount. I
get NSS error 20812, 'Pool not found'. I am not sure if you applied the
SP2 Pre-Patch script. I did not.

Please, please, please !! Could you give me an urgent update on your
status with this problem ? Have you solved the problem and, if so, how ? I
am desperate for some information, and our server is now useless unless we
can recover our DATA volume.

Thank you

There is a dependancy issue. Removing the novell-nss package, and re-installing it, it noticed a dependancy that was not handled before. After that, I could mount my NSS volumes.
