Encrypted Traffic between client and server

Are file transfers between a 4.91 SP2 WinXP client and a volume on a
Netware 6.5 server encrypted in some way by default? If so, what type of
encryption?

Thanks

No - to get encryption you'd need to run a vpn between the client and
server.
