Can I use JRB utils to pull Home Directory paths out of users in a particular OU?

Yup, you can use getname e.g.

getname .*.students.abc /a="home directory" /l=homedirs.log

or you can use chkhome with a similar command - it also has the option to
perform various checks on the value in the "Home Directory" attribute and
the path it points to.
