File Corruption

He have discovered a problem on one of our NEtware 6.5 servers.
Thousands of Microsoft word and excel files have been corrupted. Now
what happens is the files have size but if you look at the contents with
a binary editor, all that is there is binary zeros. We have virus
protection running on both our servers and workstations. THe problem
appears to have started towards the end of March 2006 and ended in
November 2006. we were runnign SP5 on the servers and upgraded last week
to SP6. The workstations are running Windows 2000. Has anyone seen
anything like this.

thanx

Re: File Corruption

Seen a similar problem with HSM and the file can't de-migrate because of
various reasons.
The stub needs the other migrated part of the file and can't find it -
leaving a file with zeros.
