Hanging Boot

Sys volume has run out of space. When we ried to expand the volume size,
we rebooted and now the server gets to the portion where it is loading
the DS,nlm and it stops dead.

This is the zenworks server. Any ideas short of redoing the whole system?

Your NDS might have suffered from running out of disk space.
Maybe you should try starting your server with:

server -na -ndb

and then try loading DSREPAIR and doing advanced options -> repair local
database.
