Huge file size in backup log directory

Hi All,

I've got a client who's not really having any problems with their
server, however, I'm a bit concerned about the file sizes reported in
their BackupExec log directory.

I haven't noticed any of these huge file sizes elsewhere, but in the log
directory, many of the log files show up as being 32,933,031,843,135,585
or thereabouts in size. Of course, if I copy them to a workstation,
they're of the expected size. These are just text files.

The system is NW6.0 SP5. I do not believe that the post SP5 nss patch
was ever installed. At least it wasn't listed in nwconfig.

Is this a problem with NSS? Is there some other known problem coming
from Backup Exec?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Re: Huge file size in backup log directory

It could be an NSS problem or just a corrupt file. I delete it, and
would apply nw6nss5c, and do an nss /poolrebuild /purge (make sure you
have tested backups, just in case).
