Install OES2SP1 into existing enviroment

Hello,
can we simply install a new SLES10SP2OES2SP1 into a tree with exsisting:

2 x Netware 6.5 servers
2 x SLES10SP1OES2 servers

We run ZEN4 on one Netware server.
Groupwise 7 on one SLES10SP1OES2.
One netware server with only file and print services.
One SLES10SP1OES2 server with only file and print services.

Can something break if we install oan OES2SP1 into that tree??

Sure. I would make sure that the NW servers are current on patches,
especially eDir.

Since you already have OES2 in the tree that means you already have eDir
8.8. If things are working fine then I doubt you'll have many (if any)
additional issues by introducing OES2SP1 which has eDir 8.8.4.

That's fine... I would still make sure they are on 8.7.3.10b, then.

Why version 8.7.3.10b? We would rather not update the Netware servers, because where in the process of getting rid of them and I don't have any knowledge of Netware servers if something goes wrong 😞

If they are NetWare 6.5, they are already running 8.7.3. The latest
version is going to have fewer problems in a mixed tree running 8.8.4,
the version included in OES2 SP1. Installing the latest eDir patch is a
relatively simple and straightforward process. If you choose to skip
this, it is difficult to predict what issues you may run into.

Also, you should install one additional patch: Security Services 2.0.6.
