Installing 6.5 Sp6 with a SRCZCRX Raid -- PART2

hi again,

another question in connection with my previous post: How can we be sure
of the exact SLOT number of the Raid card controller? In my Se7520jr2, I
have only one slot so I presume that's the slot number 1 ? also, Netware
inform me that avalaible slots are 10011, 3, 10015 and 10016. I have use
all of them but no success....

thanks again!

If you use the drivers mentioned in PART1 it should autodetect the slot
number.

Typically loading the driver without a slot argument will cause Netware
to bring up the choice it would prefer to use - are you saying that one
doesn't work?

He he.

If the system designer chose to make it that (which is common, but ...).

Where does Netware inform you of this? As others have mentioned, loading
without a slot arugument usually gives you a list of possible slots -- is
that where these numbers come from?

FWIW, 10011, 10015, and 10016 are the sort of slot numbers you see for
subsystems mounted on the motherboard, and 3 would typically be a slot for
an add-in card. (And a dual channel card in slot 3 would often appear as
slots 301 and 302). 10015 and 10016 might be evidence of dual channels.

But the driver is intimately involved in presenting the list of slot
numbers to the operator, based on Netware's map of the PCI space, etc.
What error message do you get when you select one of thsoe values.
