Kanaka 2.7: Binding the engine to an alternative IP address

I'm trying to set up Kanaka 2.7 on OES2 SP3 such that it is listening on
a secondary IP adress. Simply replacing the IP adress and hostname in
the main configuration file kanaka.conf as well a replacing the SSL
certificate results in the server not starting any more. From the log file:
ML: Failed to initialize 1 or more components and/or subsystems.
Engine is switching to stop-pending state.
Is there a howto or TID on how to complete this task? Will I have to do
a reinstall with the new address?

It is working now without a fresh install. First I found the utility
/usr/sbin/novell-kanakaengine-config which is, among other things, able
to reconfigure the IP address and port the web service is using. I
wonder why this is not mentioned in the documentation.
Secondly I did a mistake with my certificate. Unlike apache Kanaka
expects a single file in pem format containing both the key and
certificate. A simple
$ cat key.pem cert.pem > key-and-cert.pem
did the job.
With these changes Kanaka is now listening on the secondary IP address,
and I'm done with the self-signed certificate created during
installation also.
