LDAP question

I was wondering what the advantages to using the LDAP server? I mean, if I am just using ifolder in an environment with 15 or 20 users and dont have an existing LDAP setup, is there any advantage, security or otherwise, to run ifolder using the LDAP?

Thanks

Novell has a new enhancement request system,
or what is now known as the requirement portal.

It seems that only with the LDAP server configured users are able to change the password. Is that correct? Without it I get and error.
