Locked Workstation cannot be unlocked w/o Windows PW Set

This issue doesn't seem to be like one anyone else has had yet, at least that I can find.

The problem:
After booting a windows 7 machine with Novell Client, logging into Novell, Then completing login to desktop (Windows login), lock the machine and you cannot login to the desktop. The problem here is the windows login account has no password. This problem does not exist when the windows account has a password. If you type in your Novell credentials at the prompt nothing happens, no error, it takes the credentials as if authentication has succeeded but still stuck at the unlock windows screen. Again unlocking the desktop where the windows account has a password works while logged into n Novell. Unlocking a workstation where windows account does not have password while logged into Novell does not work. This is the issue is my image killer.

This happens on windows 7 x86 and x64 running Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7 (IR8)

Any ideas?

Opened SR with Novell. Engineer has file this issue as bug -710850. The work arounds are to set the password for the local user or Use "Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7(IR7)
