ML370G5 Netware 6.5 SP 7 Abend

This new server has started to abend frequently. It was originally once every other day. Updated with the

NCP, TCPIP, and WINSOCK Suite Post SP7 patches and now we are up to 2 abends in one day.

Here is the capture. I am having the hardware thoroughly checked this evening, however I suspect this will not wield results.

To complete the picture, and to allow us to verify vesion numbers, please post the list of modules from the abend log.

Also, is there anything notable about server activity at the time of the abend -- particular applications the users may be running, or it happens when everybody is saving their day's work before going home, or some automated process kicks in?

Hello,

what type and version is the LAN-driver of this server from.
BX2.LAN version 3.70? If so you may use version 3.41 (from SP7)
(or even 2.86 from SP6). If necessary i can send version 4.41.01
to you via email (but i haven't seen it yet on the official download
sites from Broadcom or Novell).

Hi All

Should have learned my lesson... we have a DL360G5 which was going up and down all the time, and it turned out the 3.70 version of the BX2.LAN drivers was the problem... I never realised the ML360 used the same driver... dropped them back to the stable version I use on the Dl360.

Also found a loose memory module on this crashing server.

I have had the same problem, I have just downloaded the latest bx2.lan from HP ver 4.41. Will keep you posted on results.

Update on Abends, I have been testing this on 2 ml370g5 servers, one has abended after 10 days the other is still running, the abend is related to the B2X.LAN driver in this case v4.41
