Mapping Drives

Are there any other ways to map drives other than using the login
script. The reason why is because we are going to start using Net
Storage. I work for a school district and we are going to start using
net storage so students can access there home directory from home. We
use login scripts now, but as i believe is true, when you login to net
storage your login script run. At school thats not a problem because we
hide the drives that are mapped for various reasons using group policys
but but when they do this at home they would not be hidden. I know you
can map drives using application objects but somebody told me there is a
way through policies?

maybe if you made them go thru Zen mid tier server so zen policies get
pushed to local machine - you can ask in zen forum

also, there is a IF <WEBACCESS> = "1" that will let you specify stuff to
only process if they are coming in via netstorage - see

You could launch an application with a batch file that will map the
drives. When people login to netstorage the zen app won't run. Not very
charming though.

Re: Mapping Drives

Yes..have it map the home drive and exit if they're coming in from the
Internet using this variable.
