Moving DNS/DHCP from failing OES11 SP2 server

Good day Forum,

I have an OES11 SP2 server that is experiencing issues, I have plans on replacing the server with a newer OES 2015 server, once I have the system in place I would like to know is it possible to migrate/move the current DNS/DHCP server from the OES11 SP2 serve onto the new OES2015 without loosing service or configurations?

Is there something in the documentation or that can be provided as a tool for moving/migrating this to another server?

Thank you,

-Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Your answer is already in the documentation

DHCP
https://www.novell.com/documentation/oes2015/mig_tools_lx/data/byk8ocv.html

DNS

Thank you Martin for the prompt response,

I was wanting to make sure that I understood correctly, the OES 2015 server that I'm building will be a new server, in the same tree, I was going to install DHCP and DNS, but not configure those services, would I need to do any configurations of those services at this point, or just following the Migration steps within the same eDirectory tree?

Thank you,

-Daniel
