Moving clustered volumes in Netware to non-clustered in OES

Hi ,
I'm looking for some advice. I am doing a Netware 6.5 to OES Linux migration. The Netware server is clustere and therefore NSS volumes are part of the clustered service.

The new OES Linux server is virtualised and non-clustered. Will miggui allow me to migrate the clustered volumes to a non-clustered NSS volume.

Is there anything special I need to be doing here. The new volumes will be on an iSCSI SAN.

Thanks
Meeta

Re: Moving clustered volumes in Netware to non-clustered in OES

$(UI believe you have installed OES2 SP2 on the target Linux server. You need to update the server with the latest patches available on the server.

Select 'Is Cluster Resource' option while authenticating to Source Server in miggui, which will retrieve the clustered volumes for you to migrate.

Refer the migration admin guide for more details on cluster migration http://www.novell.com/documentation/oes2/mig_tools_lx/?page=/documentation/oes2/mig_tools_lx/data/bfxgqtp.html

There shouldn't be a problem going from clustered to non-clustered.

When both, source and target are using a SAN, why would you want to ue
miggui at all, instead of directly moving the volume from one server to
the other?
