Multiple Abends on Processor 0 - System Halted.

Hi,

I have a netware 6.5 sp4 server that keeps abending and the only solution
is to power off.

It started with one abend which I was told was because of the TCP/IP stack
and that I should install "tcp661e.exe" which I did and now the system
completely freezes every three weeks or so with the below message.

Re: Multiple Abends on Processor 0 - System Halted.

I'd start by applying nw65sp6, nw65os5a and n65nss5a. If it happens
again, try getting into the debugger with shift-shift-alt-esc. If
nothing happens you almost certainly have a hardware fault in CPU or memory.

If you get to a # prompt, you're in the debugger and it may be software
or hardware. Do a ?<enter> and note what module you are in; if it
happens repeatedly on the same module it's the likely cause. If
different modules then again it's likely to be hardware.

Re: Multiple Abends on Processor 0 - System Halted.

Hi,

This only seemed to start when I upgraded to 6.5 SP4 from 5.1, could be a
coincidence. I have two other servers that were upgraded at the same time
which seem fine, slightly different hardware but still DELL.

This may take a few weeks to test should I reply back to this post or
create another?

Thanks,
G.
