NAMCD error

Since upgrading to OES 2018 from 2015 SP1 we are getting this error. We have 3 OES Servers and this started on each one after the upgrade
2018-10-29T15:32:20.076989+00:00 bw-lx-04 namcd[3659]: searchAndFillPwdStruct_fromNDS: Error [-7] in LDAP search while trying to fill passwd structure : filter=uid=(unknown),base=ou=OESSystemObjects,o=Peters
Any ideas what this is about?

I just noticed this a few days ago myself and haven't yet found for sure
what is triggering it.
Sometimes a
systemctl status namcd.service
or
rcnamcd status
will trigger it, they certainly show the error that is recored in
/var/log/messages having started with single ones and now including
'message repeated x times' with one of the servers up to 9 times.

zgrep searchAndFill /var/log/messages*
shows the progression on your system, worth directing to a file for
deeper analysis. I haven't found it correlated to anything else yet,
nor have I seen any other issues that might be a further clue.

All patched and up to date. I wonder if the SP1 beta testers see this
as well.

Re: NAMCD error

Hi

After Upgrade from OES2015SP1 to OES2018, I have seen some weird things
pointing me to certificates (even they were valid on OES2015SP1), so I
have them recreated (Created default Certificate, force re-create,
TID7000075). I see these messages until recreating certificates, no
longer after.

Hope this helps

That fixed it for me as well. In my case they were already new certs
created part an indentity migration to the OES2018 box.
