NDPS Printer install issues with 4.91 SP3 client

Greetings, after installing the Novell 4.91 SP3 client in preparation for
a new desktop deployment method, none of our XP SP2 machines are able to
install NDPS printer any longer.

All of them receive the same error message: "Windows cannot connect to the
printer. The network address is invalid". I can install and print to the
same NDPS queues from the same machine if I remove 4.91 SP3 and back date
to 4.91 SP2.

Am I missing something? Is there an update needed for the NDPS brokers for
the new client to be able to connect?

Can't say I see that result in general. And no, no server-side change
required for a 4.91 SP3-level NDPS client that I'm aware of.

There was an NDPS client-side change advertised for 4.91 SP3, but it
was related to standard "Users" group Windows users, and would have
resulted in an "Access denied" / insufficient rights message and not a
"can not connect"-type condition.

Perhaps exactly how are you initiating the install? (Add Printer
Wizard and browse "NDPS Controlled Access Printers", browse "NDPS
Public Access Printers", or just directly enter a UNC without
browsing?)

Has the printer been previously installed on this machine (and was
deleted to be re-installed), or is this the first time the NDPS
printer would have been installed here?

Other NDPS printers on the same machine still working, but can't add
new ones? Or this is the first/only NDPS printer to be installed.

Administrators member user, or Power Users / Users group member
Windows user, just for kicks?

Not sure what else to suggest; perhaps look at whether the NDPPNT.LOG
(http://support.novell.com/docs/Tids/Solutions/10051607.html) is
receiving any information during the "Windows can not connect"
condition.
