NSS File Salvage - trash only lasts for 60 seconds

We have Netware 6.0 with NSS volumes.

I have checked our data volume and ensured that "File Salvage" is enabled.
However, I have noticed that if I delete a file from the volume, then go
to "Salvage files..." for the specified directory a number of times, the
deleted file only appears there for at most 60 seconds. Then it disappears.

Why should deleted files not stay in Trash for longer than a minute ? Can
this length of time be configured and, if so, what is the command to do
it ?

Sorry, I'm a relative newbie at Netware!

How much free space do you have left on that volume?

Andy is alluding to the situation described in TID 10082793. With <20%
free space deleted files are auto purged. Under NW65SP3 and later you
can reduce this 20% figure, but not under 6.0

Re: NSS File Salvage - trash only lasts for 60 seconds

That explains it - we only have 10% free. No point in us upgrading as we
intend to migrate to NLSBS9 in the next 2 - 3 weeks, so there'll be no
more NSS.

Thanks anyway, guys.
