Ik like to place a service pack to this server.

Support for ZFD 4.0.1 has not been supported by Novell for years. Not sure what SP8 would do to it. If I were you, I would update both ZFD and move to SP8.

I'd say yes, but it is naturally completely unsupported.

Novell has a new enhancement request system,
or what is now known as the requirement portal.
If customers would like to give input in the upcoming
releases of Novell products then they should go to

We are running NW 6.5 SP7 (upgraded from SP2) with ZFD 4.0.1 including the
latest ZFD-Postpatches.
We have no problems so far. We are running Win XP SP2 and SP3 on our
Client-Stations with roaming profiles enabled.
Notice: Win XP Sp3 has a Bug, in that roaming / mandatory profiles will not
load if the user changes their password at the logon prompt.
XP SP3 patch KB958058 doesn't seem to work, but i think that's not a ZFD
4.0.1 problem.
