NetWare 6.5 SP8 / HP ProLiant ML570 G4 - Adding a new drive

Hi

We currently have two legacy HP Proliant ML570 G4 servers that are running really low on disk space.

They have been configured Raid 5 in the smartstart and there is two NetWare Pools, one which contains SYS and the other that contains the users volume etc.

A new hard disk has been added.

Do I expand the array on bootup or do I just expand the Pool in NSSMU?

Many thanks,
Anthony

As I suspect you want redundancy fr your disks, you first expand the
array, and then expand the pool(s) in Netware.

Because if you don't, you would expand the pools onto a single non-raid
hard drive, which if it dies would take all your data with it.
