Hello,

I have Netware 6.5 SP4a on my servers. I am running Netshield for Netware 4.62 on the servers. I just had an abend on one of my servers and it points to the Netshield NLM. I was looking at upgrading to 4.63 is SP4a supported on 4.63? This is the abend:

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

We're running 4.63h on Netware 6.5 SP3 and SP7. No issues.

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

Thank you for your quick response. What is the h? Is that a patch to 4.63. When I go to download the 4.63 I checked for any patches and did not see any.

Thanks

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

Your welcome. "H" is the current patch level for the Netshield 4.63
download. The steps would be to download 4.63, then apply patch H (which
is also known as 4.63h, 4.6.3.8, and 4.63P2).

This link describes how to download hotfixes and Patches. It still
works -- just tested the steps and was able to login and locate patch "H" on
the 3rd or 4th page of patches.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB56057

BTW --- We moved to "H" as "E" was giving us "out of cache memory errors"
when updating dats.

Hope this helps.

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

Thank you. I was able to download this file. I will update it this weekend. I have always ran the netshield module to scan files written to the server and it is ran constantly. My AVP was asking if I could change the scanning to a certain time of the day. Has anyone done this before? I have always left it actively scanning. I would think you want to catch the virus at the time of the write to the server. Just some upper management questions.

Thanks again

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

Hello everybody. I've got the same issue with memory. I've got contact with Mcafee but no help from them because Netshld 4.63 for Netware is not supported now.

I really need NETSHLD.NLM (revision "h"). Please somebody put some link to download.

Re: Netshield for Netware 4.63

Robert even you get the last version, the bad news is that you can´t update the DAT definition files. The last DAT update fon Netware 6.5 was on April 30th. As you told Mcafee is not supporting anymore Netware 6.5OES1. Just the Netware 6.5 OES2. anyway I have the sotware you need it.
