Netstorage question
We have an OES netware 6.5 sp 8 server running the netstorage software for our students on campus. The server is about 10 yrs old and when first installed, netstorage had to have a replica stored in the server in order to run. I was told novell was working on updating it back then to work with ldap instead of having a replica installed. I was wondering what the latest version of the netstorage software was and if it integrates with ldap. We want to get rid of the old server and install netstorage on a vm and not have to include it in our nds replica ring. Thanks so much for any info!

No you do not need any replicas on the server running NetStorage.
I believe you can actually install NetStorage on a server in it's own
tree but authenticating against your production tree.

Do you work with Novell technologies at a university, college or school?
If so, your campus could benefit from joining the Novell Technology
Transfer Partner (TTP) program. See novell.com/ttp for more details.
