New OES server

I'm wanting to test an OES server with a new tree on my production
network which has a NEtware 5.1 server on it. I have set up the new
server detached from the primary network but now I want to try
interfacing the new box with my printers backup servers etc. What I
don't want is for my 5.1 server to attempt to deal with the OES box.
If I have them in seperate trees there shouldn't be any bad
interactions correct?

Correct. If both servers are in separate trees and use non conflicting
names, then there should be no problems. Just pay attention to services
that might interfer if you run them on bpth servers like for example
DHCP or an SLP Directory Agent.
