Nsure Audit and clusters

Hello everybody,

Is there a solution to record the events related to the clusters using
Nsure Audit ?

Thank you for your answers...

Re: Nsure Audit and clusters

I don't know anything about Nsure Audit apart from what you and I can
see in the documentation, but it appears there is nothing specifically
for clustering. But there are events for servers going up or down,
volumes mounting and dismounting, etc, so that is effectively the same
thing.

Re: Nsure Audit and clusters

Nope (at least not in the current version)

What types of events were you looking to audit?

There are cluster log files that you may be able to use a CRON job or
something to "archive/rollover" for you.

And you can configure the cluster to email notifications (although it's
not highly configurable as to the mass amounts of email that you get).

And as Andrew pointed out you could probably use NRM to "log" when
servers go up/down (Nsure audit can do this too, or ZEN for Servers,
etc.)

In our case, we enabled the Cluster email notifications, so that
whenever a resource is offlined/onlined, migrated, a CLUSTER server
crashes, we get emailed.

But in a 16-node cluster, when the master node goes down (or you need to
work on it), we get like 300 emails or something. (something like each
server generates 16 emails).
