ODBC, Access, and MySQL. No go?

I've been through all the info I can find, and it looks like I can't get MS
Access 2007 clients to connect to a MySQL DB on NetWare 6.5.

This is for lack of an ODBC driver for NetWare.

Did I miss something, or is this a dead end?

Thanks,
Seth Longmire

You do not need an ODBC driver for NetWare, you need an ODBC driver for
MySQL. There is one and it works, have not tested it with Access though.

Re: ODBC, Access, and MySQL. No go?

But is there an ODBC driver for MySQL on the NetWare platform? I haven't
been able to find one?

Thanks,
Seth

No, ODBC only runs on Windows, but why do you need that? There is no
version of access that runs on anything but Windows either. I assume you
run Access on Windows? Then use the MySQL ODBC driver, on windows, to
access the MySQL database on NetWare. It works OK.

Only caveat is that there is a bug (that might be fixed now) it the MySQL
ODBC driver that affects multiuser operations (on all platforms)

Got it.

I'm sorry I was being really dense.
